My background is in communication. As an editor-in-chief, I have worked in a somewhat similar context within the
Rakennusmestarit ja Insinöörit AMK RKL. For eight years, I was responsible for producing Rakennustaito magazine and its online publication. During my time there, I also led a major editorial reform for this traditional magazine—one of the oldest periodicals in Finland.
Throughout my career, I have worked in journalism for Sanoma (Veikkaaja magazine), Keskisuomalainen Group, as well as for smaller media houses and various corporate and public sector clients.
As an editor-in-chief, I am curious. My goal is to create content that provides real value and meaning to its audience.
The field of maintenance is undergoing significant transformation. Some of the hottest topics today include the skills shortage and generational shift, digitalization, the demands of sustainable development, security of supply and resilience, as well as the collaboration between technology and people.
My predecessor, Jaakko Tennilä, has done remarkable work with this publication. When I first encountered Maintworld, I was immediately intrigued by its promise. Maintworld is a striking and modern content package.
