EFFRA Announces the Opening of a New Industry 5.0 Award Contest: Apply by 1 April
The European Factories of the Future Research Association (EFFRA) together with the Manufuture and the European Commission is launching the first Industry 5.0 Award dedicated to EU-funded projects whose results make European industry more resilient, sustainable, and human-centric.
The Industry 5.0 Award is a recognition prize for EU-funded projects that advance the Industry 5.0 vision. Projects should be able to present a convincing and inspiring solution, addressing Industry 5.0's three main pillars: sustainability, human-centricity and resilience, while also being clearly applicable in industry.
Eligible projects must have obtained funding from Horizon 2020, Horizon Europe or the European Institute of Innovation and Technology.
- The official start date of the project must be after 31 August 2018 and the projects should clearly be applicable in the industry. The deadline for submission is 1 April 2022 – 17:00 CET (Brussels time), EFFRA says in a statemnt.
EFFRA adds that projects will be evaluated by a high-level independent jury from industry, civil society, social partners, and academia. The winner will receive communication support from the European Commission, including the preparation of a promotional video, social media publicity through Commission channels and an article in the EU-funded Horizon Magazine.
- Finalists will be invited to the award ceremony during the annual R&I Days in June 2022 where they will be able to exhibit their projects.
