Bentley Leads the Way in Making its Technology Available through Cloud Services with Partner Microsoft
– We have arrived at another important milestone of advancement - the birth of a new generation of technology for infrastructure project delivery – one that will dramatically change how we design, deliver, and manage projects going forward. New advances in technology enable us to realize the benefits of easier user experiences, greater computing power, continuous and controlled connectivity, and exceptional insight into performance, says Timo Tuukkanen, Solutions Director, Government, Bentley Systems, and concludes.
The CONNECT Edition was introduced to the market through a series of CONNECTION events, which were held in over 30 cities worldwide during 2015. The recent CONNECTION Event Helsinki attracted over 120 attendees, and included a full-packed agenda of presentations on the CONNECT Editions of MicroStation, Navigator, Bentley Apps, and ProjectWise, and opportunities to discover and learn about emerging best practices in Government, Transportation and the Plant industry. The agenda also included user success stories, featured by Ville Alajoki, Project Leader, City of Helsinki, Rakennusvirasto and Markku Pienimäki, Development Manager, Finnmap.
Another important milestone was to announce Bentley’s acquisition of Acute 3D. Its new solution, ContextCapture, developed on the basis of the former Smart3DCapture technology, allows the production of high resolution 3D models from simple photographs, without any human intervention.
