Additive Manufacturing Conference - Learn from Top-Class AM Experts and More
A cross-industry conference and innovation exhibition will take place on March 1 – 2, 2017 in Berlin, Germany, with the focus on Additive Manufacturing – Perspectives for Production and Logistics.
Additive Manufacturing is sustainably affecting production, design and supply chain while offering enormous potential for new business models and increasing efficiency. Using for instance 3D-printing for manufacturing reduces development and delivery times significantly, and also inventories. In addition, it enables the implementation of the "mass customization" production strategy. Companies from the aerospace and automotive, as well as from the mechanical engineering and medical technology industries are pioneering in 3D technology employment. The annual growth rate of the printer market is well over 30 percent, showing the generally high relevance of 3D printing technology in the industry.
The two-day conference program is organized along four main topics on both conference days. These are: From Prototype to Series Production: Potential in Additive Manufacturing, Additive Design: The Revolution in Development, Additive Manufacturing: Supply Chain Management without Logistics and Revolution or Evolution: 3D-printing will trigger new business models.
At the conference and exhibition participants will meet experts from companies that are already applying additive manufacturing successfully as well as leading technology providers. These include companies such as Airbus, AUDI, BMW, Deutsche Bahn, DHL Group, Local Motors, Robert Bosch, SAP, Siemens, Altair, BigRep, Bionic Production, Concept Laser, Creaform, EOS, Evonik Industries, Hofmann Innovation Group, LZN, Materialise, Nabertherm, and Nikon.
