BEMAS presents not one, but three awards in maintenance and asset management. With this transformation, the trade union responds to some important trends in the metier of maintenance, such as maintenance that fits into the asset management strategy in the long term so that the assets deliver the desired performance.

During the awards show Strategy Execution Specialist Jeroen De Flander presented an exciting keynote about the steps you can take as a company to prepare your team for maintenance 4.0. These steps have certainly been mastered by the 6 finalists. The Asset Performance 4.0 Award, for example, goes to companies that are already well advanced in their digital transformation, such as the finalists Engie EMS, Siemens Logistics and Yara Tertre. The award for Best Improvement in Maintenance & Asset Management rewards organisations that have taken a big step forward in the applied maintenance and asset management practices. The finalists were Cargill and Saudi Aramco.

However, achieving excellent results in the field of Asset Performance cannot be achieved without an excellent technical team. That is why BEMAS also honours a Technical Team of the Year. Due to the corona crisis, only one finalist remained, which gives the ITIS technical team an honourable mention in this edition.

Engie European Maintenance Support: Asset Performance 4.0 Award

Engie EMS won the Asset Performance 4.0 Award for their digitisation project with Robin Analytics. On the basis of controlled analyses, they were able to predict failures up to human-readable recommendations. In this way, maintenance is planned in a simple way. The jury was particularly impressed by the rational approach based on KPIs and proven results. Marc Eyckmans and Carl Van Honacker received the award virtually.

Saudi Aramco: Best Improvement in Maintenance & Asset Management

The first international participant immediately won a prize. Saudi Aramco was confronted with many availability problems and cancellations. In order to solve this systematically, they worked methodically and rationally, which the jury appreciated. The progress was spectacular, and there was also a clear change in the company culture with regard to reliability. Osamah Al-Ghamdi and Ridha Abbas represented Saudi Aramco during the award show.
