SDT International Wins Ninth BEMAS Digital Innovation Award Antwerp
During the MAINTENANCE 2019 fair, BEMAS, the Belgian Maintenance Association vzw, presented the BEMAS Digital Innovation Award for the ninth time. SDT International could take the award home for their SDT340 with UAS 4.0. Applus+ and Semiotic Labs were the other finalists.
23 companies with a stand at easyFairs MAINTENANCE 2019 submitted a file for participation in the BEMAS Digital Innovation Award. These candidates were scored by a professional jury for a series of factors to evaluate the innovation content and the concrete applicability.
This resulted in 3 finalists: Applus+ RTD RTD DTI Trekscan: While the device is pumped through the pipeline, ultrasonic measurements are made of the wall thickness (steel) of the pipeline. This makes it possible to determine the integrity and determine the remaining life span.
SDT International SDT340 with Ultranalysis 4.0: The SDT340 and UAS4.0 software provide a cloud solution for predictive maintenance by detecting, measuring and analyzing ultrasonic sounds and vibrations.
Semiotic Labs SAM4 (Smart Condition Monitoring): SAM4 is a powerful condition monitoring solution that enables you to realize condition dependent maintenance. This can be done by applying machine learning algorithms to high-frequency measurements of current and voltage in the electrical cabinet. During the fair, the members of the jury visited the stands of the finalists to make the final judgment.
- All members of the jury agreed on the high level of all three finalists. Nevertheless, the choice for SDT was almost unanimous, because we were particularly impressed by the overall easy deployment of their innovation. André Degraeve received the award and the certificate, the chairman of BEMAS, Johan De Coster, announced the winner.
